Man, is it a busy time of year! Delaware duck season opened today. I had several places to hunt, but instead, I’m working. 🙁
Tomorrow, the NJ permit bow season opens, and I have my permits for the Supawna National Wildlife Refuge. I will try to hunt there tomorrow, although the weather is supposed to be miserable.
The New Jersey fall turkey season starts Monday 11/30, and I hope to hunt turkeys a few mornings next week.
After that, we get hot and heavy into the deer rut, and I have a Delaware deer shotgun permit for opening day, Nov. 10. I hope to at least SEE a nice buck during the next month.
Looking further, I need to get my Vizsla Gus some bird training before the actual DE small game season starts. I will hunt woodcock with him on November 20, and pheasants, quail, and chukar are soon to follow. I will probably visit my favorite game bird farm to get some training birds. Now, when will I have time for that?????
