New Jersey shotgun deer season opened 2 days ago, on Monday December 4. I want to get out and hunt, but my work commitments are preventing me from doing so. I have a lot of projects on my plated, each with strict deadlines. Therefore, I have not taken the time off to hunt.
However, if all goes well, I may be able to take some time tomorrow or Friday. Actually, the gun season at Supawna National Refuge opens tomorrow. I paid for my Supawna permit, so I should try to get out!
In the interim, I have some more updates. Several friends and I drove to Travis’ Taxidermy in Chestertown, Maryland this past Sunday. I had to pick up a deer shoulder mount and a white pheasant mount that he worked on. They look phenomenal. I highly recommend Travis ‘ Taxidermy work. They are probably the best taxidermist in the Delaware, South Jersey, Eastern Maryland, and Southeastern Pennsylvania area. I will post some photos of the mounts tonight.
