Whew. It has been a busy couple weeks.
I had a book signing at Walden Books at the Dover Mall last Saturday. Considering Tropical Storm Hannah ruined the weather, we still had a good turnout.
Thursday night, I delivered a presentation as part of the Night at The Hook lecture series at Prime Hook Federal Wildlife refuge near Lewes, Delaware. The turnout was good. I talked about preserving hunting traditions and I gave some pointers on a somewhat off-the-wall topic of crow hunting. I believe the presentation was well received.
Also, I was contacted by a representative of Versus Country television last week. I am pursuing an interesting opportunity with them. I will give you more details on this next week.
In addition to these commitments, I have also hunted several times over the past 10 days. The photo above was taken by me of me in my tree stand. Each time I have gone out I could have shot at least one deer. I have seen several does and small bucks that I let go, and I did see two nice bucks. However, the big bucks came in after shooting time, so I had to let them pass, too. If all goes well, I hope to hit the woods in about 2 hours!
I’ll let you know what happens.
